Owned, or managed, Waggon and Horses pub in Bollington. Believed to have lost his licence after a policeman spied on them from a hill and observed them serving after hours. Whiston then left the pub and opened or took over a shop in, I think, Sudell Street, Manchester. This was a grocery, but with barrels of beer. [100]
