We await information on it’s future.

The pub is set in this picturesque village surrounded by local history. The D&P or Dog, as it is known to its friends, was first built c.1800, re-built about 1900, and has been kept in its original condition. In winter the comfort is maintained with a good fire in the grate and plenty of pub games most nights. TV screen for the football.

In the summer outside picnic tables provide a place in the sun to admire the stunning displays of flowers in boxes and baskets around the walls. The D&P used to be a regular winner of the Bollington in Bloom Pubs category! Village and Cheshire league cricket is played on the Recreation Ground at the rear of the pub.

As well as supporting the local football teams and being a member of the local pool and bar games leagues, the pub has a reputation for its live music.

Address:

97 Palmerston Street, Bollington, Macclesfield, SK10 5JX

Contact:

Host:

Open hours:

Brews:

Frederic Robinson’s Cask Conditioned real ales plus lagers, Strongbow and Stowford Press cider and Guinness all on draught.
