Much of one side at the top is lined with a terrace of stone cottages (below) but there are larger more modern properties towards the bottom of the road. On the other side there are a few larger houses high up on the bank. The top part of the street is very narrow, allowing only single line traffic and no parking. The 100m between High Street and Lord Street (pictured left) contains another terrace of delightful stone cottages with <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=897\">Adshead&#8217;s Farm House<\/a> at the end. New properties have been erected in 2017\/20 opposite the nearest of these.<\/p>\n<p>Approach off <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2280\">Grimshaw Lane<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2300\">High Street<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2335\">Lord Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leads to <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2232\">Cow Lane<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=897\">Adshead Court<\/a>. Footpath to <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2272\">Gleave Avenue<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nearest shops &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2365\">Palmerston Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nearest pubs &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=197\">Church House<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=119\">Bull&#8217;s Head<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Council Ward &#8211; North side, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bollington-tc.gov.uk\/council\/councillors#central\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Central<\/a>; south side, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bollington-tc.gov.uk\/council\/councillors#east\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">East<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d2384.746647744734!2d-2.0992230836723564!3d53.294073286325634!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x487a4bd24d60ef41%3A0xd01bc2bdf6543bdd!2sChancery+Ln%2C+Bollington%2C+Macclesfield+SK10+5BJ!5e0!3m2!1sen!2suk!4v1496069567701\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" width=\"90%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2959\" src=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/chancery2009.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The top end of Chancery Lane is very narrow.
