The first was in Foundry Street &#8211; the roofless building in the bottom right of the picture. The second was the larger building a very short distance away in John Street &#8211; the industrial building with four windows in the middle of the picture.<\/p>\n<p>In the early 20thC the first Bollington <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=10333\">Imperial Picture Palace<\/a> (cinema to you and me) was opened in Foundry Street in the original foundry building. When the new cinema was built at Bridgend, Palmerston Street, the Imperial became a body shop making ambulances. It remains a vehicle body repair shop today.
