On the right at the bottom is an unused workshop, followed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=620#ChristianLife\">Christian Life church<\/a>. Then comes Hawthorn Mews (left in picture) followed by a c.2000 development of seven houses. On the left are cottages and a modern bungalow. Opposite the Mews is Waterhouse Avenue. The top 150m is a private road with two detached houses and, across the Middlewood Way, there is a row of early 20th century stone houses known as Alderley View &#8211; and indeed they certainly have a good view. There is pedestrian access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=4136\">Macclesfield Canal<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"> at the top of the road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Very convenient for <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=1354\">Post office<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=777\">medical centre<\/a>, pharmacy, Co-op. Other shops not far off. Access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=1372\">Middlewood Way<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=4136\">Macclesfield canal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Approach off <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2425\">Wellington Road<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Leads to <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2421\">Waterhouse Avenue<\/a>, Alderley View.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Nearest shops &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2425\">Wellington Road<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Nearest pubs &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=117\">Bayleaf<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=206\">Dog &amp; Partridge<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Council Ward &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bollington-tc.gov.uk\/council\/councillors#central\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Central<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Previously known as Glue Sheds Road. At Glue Sheds Farm they used to boil down animal bones to make glue. This process produces the most appalling smell so they can&#8217;t have had many friends! Around 1903 Mr A.
