At the Lowerhouse end (pictured) there is a delightful collection of stone cottages. At the far end of the terrace shown there is a path along the front of <a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2333\">Long Row<\/a>&nbsp;terrace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">At the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=1364\">Bollington Cross<\/a>&nbsp;end there are old stone cottages and a house on one side and more modern detached houses opposite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Approach off&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=901\">Albert Road<\/a>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=931\">Bollington Road<\/a>&nbsp;(very narrow).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Leads to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2345\">Moss Lane<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=2333\">Long Row<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Nearest shops &#8211; West Bollington.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Nearest pubs &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=117\">Bayleaf<\/a>,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/?page_id=200\">Cock &amp; Pheasant<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Council Ward &#8211;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bollington-tc.gov.uk\/council\/councillors#west\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">West<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3632\" src=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/mossbr94-26-300x184.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"184\">&nbsp;<\/td>\n<td style=\"padding-left: 30px; vertical-align: top;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Moss Brow is a very old country lane and that part of it which travels through fields is, other than the tarmac surface, very probably much as it was many hundreds of years ago, and the hedges are equally ancient. On an old map it is marked as Moss Lane and was probably part of the route that now includes Moss Brow and Moss Lane. The word brow would normally refer to the steep bit at the Bollington Cross end.
