It is believed that Bollington&#8217;s boundary hasn&#8217;t changed since at least the 13thC. The example pictured above is a boundary stone, on which the letters &#8216;K&#8217;, &#8216;B&#8217; and &#8216;R&#8217; are inscribed on three faces, indicating that it is positioned at the junction of the boundaries of Kerridge, Bollington and Rainow.<\/p>\n<p>Boundary stones are marked as &#8216;B.S.&#8217; on old maps such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.nls.uk\/geo\/explore\/#zoom=17&amp;lat=53.2980&amp;lon=-2.0986&amp;layers=168&amp;b=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">those from the National Library of Scotland<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14472\" src=\"https:\/\/happyvalley.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/external.png\" title=\"Going to an external website!\" width=\"10\" height=\"10\">. Most have now been lost sadly.
