Notes for John Thomas ALLABY By 1895 he was in Bollington. Both the 1881 and 1891 Census lists him as a boarder with the Joseph Potts family on Lord Street, Bollington, near The Rising Sun inn (the house with three steps). In 1901 he was living with his wife in Church Street, Bollington and was employed at the paper mill (Lower Mills) as a Paper Stainer. Awarded a medal, at the age of 22, with his name on it (see Happy Valley: Allaby family) but what this medal was for is not known. | ||||||||||||||||
