This old country pub has changed a great deal over the 45 years I have known it and each refurbishment brings with it a new style fitted into the old building. It is a very pleasant pub and most enjoyable restaurant.
The lounge is easy to relax in with sofas and soft chairs, there is a bar and the restaurant area is furnished with stout spotlessly clean wooden tables and chairs bistro style on a stone tiled floor.

|Food:||Bar food; Restaurant – High quality food, preparation and presentation. The quality ensures that it is value for money. They are clearly aiming well above the standard of the usual pub restaurant and certainly achieving it. My wife & I have been many times for lunch and dinner and it is invariably very good. The standard of service is first rate with young staff who actually know what they are doing. Very highly recommended. Book for peak periods.|
Beer garden beside the car park. Patio tables and chairs on the roadside are actually a very pleasant place to watch the lowering sun on a warm summer evening.
They frequently have entertainment at weekends – details on the website.
