Children (4):
Family notes for Edward ALLEN and Elizabeth This family illustrates the difficulty in bringing up a family in the
19thC - four children, three died within months, only one reached five
years old before dying. And then mother Elizabeth died (of a broken
heart?) at just 32 years of age having buried everyone of her children.
