Notes for Pte William BAGULEY He was killed just three days after arriving at Gallipoli. His combatants
cup has been presented to the Cheshire Regiment museum. [109]
William's friend, Alfred Gaskell, brought home William's watch and effects
and married the widow Mary. Alfred was William's sergeant. [92]
Family notes for Mary DAVIS and Sgt Alfred GASKELL Alfred GASKELL was a sergeant in the British Army in WWI and Mary′s first husband, William BAGULEY, was one of his squad. Sadly William was killed in action and Alfred returned William′s personal effects by hand to Mary.
