Bertha Ellen (H J Ottley's daughter) always said that she recalled the terrace of houses in Wellington Road opposite the H.J. Ottley shop [2 Adlington Road, on the corner of Wellington Road] were all owned by him and one was bought for each child - this she seemed very certain of. [39]
