Family notes for Stephen SHELDON and Nancy PERCIVAL In the absence of most birth dates, the children are listed in the order they are given in their father′s Will. Notice that three of Stephen & Nancy′s daughters predeceased Stephen. Nancy is not mentioned in Stephen′s Will so it is probable that she, too, predeceased him. [Webmaster]
It is clear from the marriage register entry that Nancy was illiterate, she registered her mark, and while Stephen may have been literate, he was unable to spell or recognise that his betrothed\'s maiden name was oddly recorded as Percifall. Quite logical really! [Webmaster]
Notes for Stephen SHELDON His Will is available - see it here: Happy Valley: Sheldon family history . His Will is dated 27 November 1844 and we know he died in the same year. [64]
