A long avenue with a loop in the tail, this street was built over many years in the 1960s and 70s by Henry Bamford, a Bollington building company and after whom Bamford Close was named. The style and type of properties changes markedly as you proceed along the street. Mostly detached brick properties, larger towards the far end. Those along the end overlook Kerridge Cricket Club’s ground. Many have good views of Kerridge hill.
