Shops & Businesses

Co-op store on the corner of Albert Road

In 1928 the Bollington Wesleyan Bazaar published a Recipe and Quotation Book. This was designed to promote, in particular, Bollington retailers, and to raise funds for the Wesleyan Methodist church in Wellington Road. This page began as a list of the historic Bollington shops mentioned in the book. The individual pages of the book can be seen here. However the page has been expanded to include services traders and businesses.

Where possible a date is shown after each entry to indicate when the business was trading. This is a date for which we have evidence. They may, of course, have been in business in the decades before and after the date shown.
