Family notes for TAYLOR and Margaret Melba THOMPSON
They owned and ran the shop opposite the Cock & Pheasant Inn at Bollington Cross. This shop has remained in the same family for three generations so far (to 2015) having previously been run by Melba's father, Arthur THOMPSON. Prior to the early 1930s the shop was actually another building in front of the present shop. That was demolished along with other properties to allow road widening at the junction of Bollington Road and Flash Lane. [92]
