Notes for John JOULE In business with father Samuel (silk & cotton) at Millbrook mill, Rainow.
After the silk manufacturing business became bankrupt, John moved to
Gurnett Fall Farm, Sutton, Macclesfield, and later to Manchester where he
became a silk broker.
